WHO WE ARE
Taylor and Long Construction is a Commercial Construction company owned by Brad Taylor and Michael Long.
Michael Long is a project manager with over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry working for Tier 1 multinational construction companies, successfully delivering large and small-scale commercial projects in New Zealand and internationally.
Brad Taylor has been working in the construction industry in Northland for over 20 years. In 2015 Brad formed Brad Taylor Construction. Starting out as a residential builder, the company evolved to focus on delivering commercial projects in Northland, using a team of highly skilled professional tradespeople and subcontractors.
At the end of 2023 Brad and Michael teamed up to form Taylor and Long Construction, specialising in commercial projects in the Northland region.

We offer turn key solutions that by understanding our clients needs we tailor to help bring their vision to light.
We are able to efficiently manage designers, consultants and liaise with council to oversea and drive a project from its early stages through to completion. Realising that a robust supply chain is a key part in delivering exceptional projects for our clients; Taylor and Long are supported by a motivated team of suppliers and contractors who help us achieve our goal of exceeding our clients expectations on every project we undertake.
We pride ourselves on honesty, transparency and providing value for money, while delivering a quality product to our clients. We do this with a view to building lasting relationships and a strong reputation.
With a solutions-based approach, we liaise and coordinate with all stakeholders throughout the project life cycle from Clients Representatives, Architects, Engineers and Local Authorities to create synergy and ensure smooth delivery. Organization, planning, process, communication and responsiveness are a high priority for Taylor and Long. We do what we say.
HEALTH & SAFETY
With a strong focus on Health and Safety, Taylor and Long have recognized Health and Safety processes that ensure that we and our subcontractors look after the safety and well being of every worker and exceed our obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act. Taylor and Long provide ongoing health and safety training to our staff and regular auditing as part of our ongoing commitment to raising health and safety awareness.
Taylor and Long have achieved Sitewise Gold accreditation for 2024/25 and furthermore are proud to report we have not had any serious harm incidents on any of our projects.
